Villas in Protaras: Fig Tree Bay, Pernera or Konnos?
Protaras is one of Cyprus’s easiest villa regions for a beach-first holiday, but its neighbourhoods are not interchangeable. Decide whether a short walk, a quieter evening or Cape Greco access matters most.

Three useful starting points
Central Protaras and Fig Tree Bay put beach, restaurants and evening activity within easiest reach. Summer convenience also brings more people and street activity.
Pernera has a softer residential-resort feel and several smaller bays. Toward Konnos and Cape Greco, scenery and coves replace town-centre convenience.

What to verify
Map the real gate-to-sand route. Straight-line distances can ignore busy roads or steep sections. For toddlers or mobility needs, ask about steps, pool barriers and pavement continuity.
Private pools matter in summer, but shade does too. Confirm a covered dining area, afternoon shade and whether air-conditioning is included in every bedroom.
When Protaras is right
Choose Protaras for easy swimming, family routines and evenings on foot. Cape Greco adds trails, limestone cliffs and rocky coves beyond the resort.
Ayia Napa suits groups wanting more nightlife; Paphos offers archaeology and a broader touring base. Protaras is the cleanest fit for a classic beach-and-pool week.
