A car is not mandatory for every Cyprus villa stay, but it is the default for many. Ask whether your exact property supports your planned week without one.

When no car can work
A no-car week can work with a verified safe walk to a serviced beach, supermarket and restaurants. Central Protaras, parts of Coral Bay and urban Paphos offer the best possibilities.

When a car changes the trip
A vehicle is usually valuable for Peyia hillsides, Sea Caves, Polis villages, Cape Greco edges and privacy-led villas. It also opens archaeological sites and mountain villages.
Large groups should compare two small cars with one people carrier. Two cars add flexibility but need two confident drivers and parking spaces.

Official guidance states that traffic moves on the left. Confirm licence, age, deposit, insurance excess and additional-driver rules before payment.
Check the final access road, lighting and whether intended drivers are comfortable returning after dark.
